Blowfish was born out of small town living, an active outdoor lifestyle, and a hunger to craft. From the beginning, it has been about more than hats. It is about connection. The act of handcrafting brings us closer to the makers, the artists, and the people who end up wearing these hats day in and day out.

We want Blowfish hats to be part of your story. The river days, road trips, powder mornings, and late sunsets. Over the years, Blowfish has shown up all over the world, creating connections that make this big place feel a little smaller.

Blowfish started in 2011 with four friends in a small Colorado mountain town learning their way around a sewing machine in a living room. What grew from that became a small family business rooted in intention, craftsmanship, and staying small on purpose. Every hat is still made with care by a tight knit crew of makers and seamstresses, using thoughtfully chosen fabrics and artist collaborations to keep things fresh, unique, and never mass produced.

As the seasons shift, so do the designs. New fabrics, new styles, and new ideas are always flowing, inspired by a life lived outside and the next adventure ahead.

Now, the story rolls on.

Blowfish has now landed in Boise, Idaho with Sheena and Casey Coles stepping in as the new stewards of the brand.

From the first time we saw a Blowfish hat, we were hooked. We have always been hat people, drawn to gear that carries stories and sticks with you through the long haul.

The rivers, mountains, and wild places of Idaho fuel how we live, and we are fired up to carry Blowfish forward while staying true to the roots that built it.
