Seeing nature in technicolor

Sarah Uhl paints and illustrates outdoors, in the elements, on the mountain, by the river, under the sky.  It does make sense to paint the natural world out in the natural world and she seems to do it with a sense of wonder and playfulness.

I love seeing an artist like Sarah's perspective of the natural world because it lights up all the nooks in a way that is so personal and yet also can be so universal.  Sarah's visuals of what surrounds us are strong, their whimsical, their precise & yet they also make you feel like the world is spirited and expansive.   Sarah answered our call for artist collaborations and we have been loving getting to see her different paintings and illustrations come to life on fabric and then on our hats.

Her work on Blowfish Designs hats is exactly the sort of love for the natural world that I think we both are trying to ignite.  We feel honored to be able to collaborate with artists like Sarah to explore new ideas together, support each other, and to expand an awesome awareness of why it is important to admire and share in the love of the mountains and all that is alive and kicking around us.

If you know any artists who you think would like to collaborate please have them contact me and send a sample of their work.
