The waterways that connect us to the land

We love our Artist collaborators and we are so excited that we are constantly being reached out to by new artists wanting to show off their work on caps.  It is what makes us tick.  This Summer Sarah Uhl reached out cause she wanted to get this one of a kind Watershed map on a cap.

We have worked with Sarah repeatedly because, foremost, we are friends and because we just think she is a total visionary.  Her work is all about getting out there and really going knee deep into the edges and windy roads of our backcountry, forests, and mountains.  Her work expresses a joy and a passion for activism.  It comes out in what she does but mostly who she is.  Find out what this fine lady is up to from her website as she is a woman with a will to make it happen!

This watershed map was a long project that she worked closely with the Roaring Fork Conservancy on.  She studied the watershed of the Valley by topo, by plane, and by literally walking and biking around the crevices and creeks to really discover what it means to the ecosystem of these communities.  In a year of scary drought, this couldn't of come at a better time.  We launched these hats at the Carbondale Mountain Fair this year and a portion of all proceeds of this hat go to the Conservancy to continue their work.   We are doing another batch with a call to action patch on them.  We hope you love them and find one that suits your head.

Check out these hats in our Art Caps section.
